Designer Mayu Imachi has taken carefully selected vintage furisode kimonos and luxuriously re-fashioned them into one-of-a-kind upcycled pants. The vibrant crimson gradation and blossoming flowers create an elegant expression with every step. The waistband is made from a rare fukuro-obi (pouch obi) woven with a design of oxcarts on waves. By intentionally showing the reverse side of the obi, the beauty of the "watari no yokoiito" (passing weft threads), a testament to Japan's advanced weaving techniques, has been elevated into a design feature. This garment embodies an overwhelming splendor where traditional prestige and high-end fashion resonate. It is a masterpiece, a modern treasure, imbued with the breath of artisan craftsmanship.
